E-textiles Indian scenario

Now a days Technology has become ubiquitous, it is all around us and is becoming part of our life . With the rise of the Internet of Things (IoT) paradigm and enabling technologies like  Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality(VR)  and Mixed Reality(MR)  Systems, Cyber security ,Artificial Intelligence (AI), blockchain, cloud and edge computing, Smart wears and IoT-based garments can  have a lot of influence by harmonizing functionality and the delight created by fashion.

Smart clothes look for a balance among fashion, engineering, interaction, user experience, cybersecurity, design and science to reinvent technologies that can anticipate needs and desires. The  rapid convergence of textile and electronics is enabling the seamless and massive integration of sensors into textiles and the development of conductive yarn. The potential of smart fabrics, which can communicate with smartphones to process biometric data such as heart beat rate, pulse , temperature, breathing, stress level , movement, acceleration, or even hormone levels, promises a new era for retail.

The Indian Textile industry is very vast and lots of scope where technology can be applied and products can be made  using new technologies and can cater the audience using those products. Indian economy is moving in that direction. New entrepreneurs are taking this as a challenge and companies are also promoting them to start this innovation.

E-textiles may not only promise business opportunities but also adverse environmental impacts. This study examines potential and end-of-life implications, it can emerge as a future e-textiles and which can be disposed off. The technological assessment using the methodological framework of technology assessment and an overview of current innovation processes for e-textiles is established and an outlook on future applications areas are provided. Information on technologies and materials composition of e-textiles is mapped as a basis for assessing the prospective implications at the end of their useful life.
